Project Description

UCD Science Centre, – Dublin

Contractor: John Sisk & Sons / Banagher Precast

This project involved the installation of up to 10,000 Tons of precast concrete elements to form the state of the art science centre phase 2 development in UCD Belfield.

ICMS Precast specialist engineering experience and capabilities ensured the precision installation of the main precast concrete elements which comprised of 24m full height columns, spine beams, transfer beams, prestressed double tee flooring slabs, stair cores, stair flights, landings and façade panels.

All precast elements were successfully installed on time and within budget in accordance with a strict programme schedule.

Project Description

Aviva Stadium, – Dublin

Contractor: John Sisk & Sons / Banagher Precast

This project involved the construction of a new state of the art stadium under John Sisk & Sons. ICMS Precast were tasked with the installation of 12,000 Tons of precast stadia units, raker beams, columns, terrace units, infill steps and parapet units comprising of over 8,000 individual precast concrete elements.

This was achieved through increased working hours and shift rotations so as to maximise efficiency without an effect on quality or safety.

The result was a magnificent stadium, one which ICMS Precast are very proud to have been involved in, while bringing the project in on time and within budget on a tight schedule.

Project Description

Glanbia, – Kilkenny/Waterford

Contractor: PM Group / Banagher Precast

ICMS Precast was awarded the installation contract for one of the largest precast concrete frame structures in the UK and Ireland at its new dairy processing facility at Belview on the Kilkenny / Waterford border.

The new Belview facility for Glanbia consists of over 20,000 tonnes of precast concrete, 6 independent structural frames comprising of 40,000 individual precast elements.

ICMS precast co-ordinated all activates involved in the installation process to successfully achieve critical milestones targets, which resulted in the project been in on time and within budget.

This project involved the installation of 3 new precast concrete overpass bridges in county Westmeath, to facilitate the designated cycling track project the Galway – Dublin Greenway.

Project Description

Great Island Power Station, – Wexford

Contractor: John Sisk & Sons / Banagher Precast

ICMS Precast was awarded the installation of the bridge deck, which span the cooling outflow channel. The channel spans 16m wide and over 90m in length. The bridge deck comprised of TY9 beams and slabs spanning between the beams, which allowed an insitu slab to be poured. One the major challenges for this project was the channel had to remain functioning, while the construction of the deck was ongoing to allow the existing power plant to remain operational.

This new facility also required the installation of transformer blast walls which ICMS Precast successful delivered on time and within budget.

Project Description

Musgrave Park, – Cork

Contractor: BAM / Banagher Precast

This project involved the construction of a new state of the art West Stand under BAM Contractors. ICMS Precast were tasked with the installation of 1,600 Tons of precast stadia units, raker beams, columns, terrace units, infill steps and parapet units comprising of over 550 individual precast concrete elements. The West Stand with a length of 100m with a capacity of 3,500.

The result was a magnificent West Stand, one which ICMS Precast are very proud to have been involved in, while bringing the project in on time and within budget on a tight schedule.

Project Description

Hunterston Converter Station, – Scotland

Contractor: John Sisk & Sons / Banagher Precast

This Scottish Power Western Link project, will bring renewable energy from Scotland to the remainder of the UK by transmitting the power through the converter station to a sub – sea cable before connecting into the grid at Deeside, Flintshire.

ICMS Precast involvement in this project to date, is the Installation of U – Ducts, L – Walls & Draw Pits to facilitate the underground services.

GSK Worthing, – England

Contractor: PJ Hegarty’s & Sons / Banagher Precast

This project involved the installation of 5 precast concrete lift cores & stairwells at GlasxoSmithKline (GSK) facility in Worthing, UK.
The precast elements consisted of over 300 individual units. ICMS Precast installed over 1,700 Tons of precast concrete stair-core walls, flights and landings.
ICMS Precast are very proud to have brought the project in on time and within budget.

Project Description

Olympic Handball Alley, – London

Contractor: Buckingham Group / Banagher Precast

ICMS Precast was awarded the installation contract for the Olympic Handball Arena for the London 2012 Olympic Games. ICMS Precast were delighted to be involved in such a prestigious project. The precast elements comprised of the main structural fin walls, raker beams, terracing, vomitory walls, parapet units and retaining walls. This Arena has the capability to host a maximum capacity of 7,000.

CORKPRISON

Project Description

Cork Prison – Cork

Contractor: PJ Hegarty’s & Sons / Keegan Precast

ICMS Precast worked closely with Keegan Precast, with the installation of all precast elements for the new Cork Prison, comprising of twin wall panel system, floor slabs, stairs & landings.
The project consisted of the entire Prison Block, Gatehouse, Visitor Centre, Sports Hall and the external security Boundary wall surrounding the site.

LIMERICK

Project Description

Limerick Prison – Limerick

Contractor: PJ Hegarty’s & Sons / Keegan Precast

ICMS Precast were awarded the installation of the external security Boundary walls separating the Prison from the new proposed courthouse development. The project consisted of 66 Twin Wall Panels with a Panel height of 8.465m & 77 Wall Cappings.
